I began at Hair Fusion in January of 2016 as a student, then I graduated in December, 2016.

Makeup, hair coloring, and threading.
HOW DO YOU KEEP LEARNING/PROGRESSING YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE?
Every day I spend at Hair Fusion is a learning experience, but outisde of my work days, I take any extra classes I can, especially when I travel! I’m going to Europe this summer and plan on taking an intensive course at the Makeup Forever Academy in Paris!
WHAT WAS THE PIVOTAL MOMENT FOR YOU, PROFESSIONALLY? WAS THERE AN “AHA” OR OTHERWISE IMPACTFUL MOMENT ALONG YOUR JOURNEY?
I went to college for a year in Montana, studying history and absolutely hated it. Shortly after dropping out, I moved to Scotland and spent a lot of time exploring the beauty world of Edinburgh. the day I knew I belonged in the beauty industry was when I took a makeup class with Danielle Roberts from Urban Decay MUA, and learned how to transition a day-to-night look. Right after taking said class, I moved back to Durango and started school at Hair Fusion.
WHERE’S THE FURTHEST YOU’VE BEEN FROM HOME?
I volunteered at Masebe Wildlife Reserve in South Africa! Almost 10,000 miles from Durango.
